In this Seasonal Wellness Workshop:
I will share information and energy medicine (tapping into the body’s energetic systems including meridians, chakras, aura, etc.) founded on principles of Chinese Medicine.
You will connect with your innate healing ability through gentle touch, stimulating acupressure points and other hands-on exercises and techniques.
Based on ancient Chinese medicine, the Five Rhythms or Elements reflect a rhythmic pulse of all life that influence human events and cycles.
We are currently in the first weeks of Autumn, which corresponds with the metal element, the lung and large intestine organs and emotions related to release and reverence.
From a physical perspective, the lungs and large intestine require proper “elimination” to remain healthy. Lungs must expel carbon dioxide to absorb the oxygen needed for survival. Likewise, the large intestine must excrete undigested “stuff’ or waste that has not been absorbed by the stomach or small intestine.
Each organ has an additional role within resilience and wellness: The Lung (Yin organ) is associated with taking in the new and the large intestine (Yang organ) with releasing the old.
Emotionally, the Lungs coincide with grief and sadness and the Large Intestine is associated with an inability to let go, uptightness and stubbornness.
Would you like to flow through the seasons with more grace? Do you want to build resilience in mind, body and spirit and have fun doing it!?
The 5 Rhythm Model is a year-long series offered with the seasons to provide a lens for understanding and working with chronic health issues, behavioral patterns and emotional challenges.
