In-Person | Late Summer Qigong + Sound Healing

When did you last feel truly nourished? Not fed. Not busy. Not productive. Nourished. Settled in a way that goes all the way down. Present in your body without the background hum of everything still waiting to be processed.

If you have to think about it, this is for you.

In Chinese Medicine, Late Summer belongs to Earth. To the Stomach and Spleen. The Officials responsible for receiving, digesting and transforming everything we take in. Not just food. Everything.

Every conversation. Every decision. Every piece of information, every emotional experience, every demand the season placed upon us.

All summer our systems have been taking in. Fire season is generous that way. Illuminating, revealing, ripening. But Fire does not digest. That is Earth's job. And most of us arrive to Late Summer, with a backlog.

Mentally stuffed. Unable to take in one more thing.
Physically depleted. The heat asked a lot and the body never quite caught up.
Quietly hungry. Not for more doing, for something that actually nourishes.

This gathering is Earth's invitation.

Because when Stomach and Spleen are balanced and working as designed, something shifts. The mental churn quiets. The body stops bracing. We stop running on the memory of energy and find the actual source again. We feel at home within our self. Settled, grounded, connected.

What We'll Do

Qigong. Ancient movement that works directly with the body's energy channels, releasing what has been held and restoring what has been depleted. Specifically sequenced for Late Summer.

Sound Healing. Frequencies that meet the nervous system where it is and return it, without force, to its own natural rhythm.

We leave steady.

Held. Deeply connected to the ground beneath our feet. Feeling the gentle pull inward as Yin eases her way back.

What to bring:

Comfortable clothing. A yoga mat, blanket and eye cover. Water to drink.

Cost: $40 | Advanced registration is required. Space is intentionally limited.

Live Virtual | Mother Zone

Before you had language, you had her. Her nervous system, regulating yours. Her fear, her joy, her grief, her love, her anger. All of it, moving through. You.

This is not imaginary. It is intergenetics.

Within Biofield Tuning, the left side of the body holds what's called the Mother Zone. The emotional imprint of our mothers.

Not just our relationship with her. But the words that were never spoken. Grief that got swallowed instead of grieved. Shame that was never hers to carry but got passed down anyway. Quietly, without ceremony, without anyone meaning to. And anger. Anger meant for her spouse, her job, the world. That landed on her children instead, because they were closest. And safest. And couldn't leave.

It doesn't disappear just because no one names it. It gets inherited. The way a family passes down an heirloom. Even the ones that are broken, in disrepair, that smell of mothballs and mildew. We keep them. Nobody quite remembers why.

It's not a coincidence that the left side carries this weight. In Five Element theory, left is Yin. Receptive, maternal, the side that holds rather than acts. Two lineages of wisdom. Thousands of miles and centuries apart. Pointing at the exact same truth: the Mother Zone lives on the left.

This is what intergenetics means, once you strip the jargon off it.

Inter: because none of us developed in isolation, we were shaped in relationship before we ever had a self to shape.

Energetics: because those imprints don't just live in memory, they live as frequency, as pattern, as the biofield's own record-keeping.

And genetics: because some of what we carry isn't story at all. It's biology, passed down whether or not the story ever got told.

The intention is not to diagnose our mother. Or blame her. It is not to send us back into the story.

This is about witnessing. Witnessing what's still hanging on. Listening to what the left side has been holding. And offering it a way to move. One that doesn't require us to relive the past in order to be free of what it left behind.

There is a saying in Biofield Tuning. "You have to feel it to heal it." And this especially applies to the parts we never had words for.

You will leave lighter. The left side of your body moving more freely. That memory, whatever it is, carrying a different texture. A charge that no longer holds, the way it did.

What you need:

A quiet space. Headphones. Water nearby. A blanket.

This is a live event.

Registration is required and includes a brief waiver. Space is intentionally held. Please only register if you plan to attend.

Live Virtual | Father Zone

Before you knew what was expected of you, you were already carrying an imprint. His unspoken desires. His (real or perceived) burdens. The weight of what he never put down. Passed down the only way it could be. Not in words. In frequency.

This is not imaginary. It is intergenetics.

Within Biofield Tuning, the right side of the body holds what's called the Father Zone. The energetic imprint of our fathers. Initiated preconception, continuing through conception, in-utero, birth, and the full arc of our living timeline.

Not just our relationship with him. What he inherited and never processed. Stress that had nowhere to go. Burdens carried in silence. Responsibilities assigned before anyone thought to ask if they fit. And the needs. The genuine, ordinary human needs. That got suppressed so deeply, they stopped being felt as needs at all.

Until they came out sideways.

As anger. As control. As workaholism. Or any other ‘ism’ that keeps us busy enough to avoid what's actually asking to be felt.

It's not a coincidence that the right side carries this. In Five Element Theory, right is Yang. Active, directional, the side that moves rather than holds. Two lineages of wisdom. Thousands of miles and centuries apart. Pointing at the same truth. The Father Zone lives on the right.

This is what intergenetics means, once the jargon is stripped away.

Inter: because none of us developed in isolation. We were shaped in relationship before we ever had a self to shape.

Energetics: because those imprints don't just live in memory. They live as frequency, as pattern, as the biofield's own record-keeping.

And genetics: because some of what we carry isn't story at all. It's biology, passed down whether or not the story ever got told.

The intention is not to diagnose our father. Or blame him. It is not to send us back into the story.

This is about witnessing. Witnessing what's still being carried. Listening to what the right side has been holding. And offering it a way to move. One that doesn't require us to relive the past in order to be free of what it left behind.

There is a saying in Biofield Tuning. "You have to feel it to heal it." And this especially applies to the parts we never had words for.

What comes after isn't immediate. Integration takes time. Yet as it unfolds, less anger arising. Less resentment sitting just below the surface. Less holding until you blow. More capacity to name what you actually need. More recognition that anger is usually information. A signal that something is ‘off’, perhaps a boundary has been violated.

More of you. Less of what was never yours to carry.

What you need:

A quiet space. Headphones. Water nearby. A blanket.

This is a live event.

Registration is required and includes a brief waiver. Space is intentionally held. Please only register if you plan to attend.

In-Person Sacred Ceremony | Ancestral Whispers

We honor our Ancestors not because every choice they made was wise, nor because every relationship was safe. We honor them because they are part of our story.

Within every lineage live both burdens and gifts. We cannot choose what was handed to us. But we can choose what we cultivate, what we transform, and what we pass forward.

Two rivers run through us, and they have never stopped streaming.

One flows on the left. Your mother, and her mother, and every maternal ancestor before her whose blood, whose grief, whose unspoken fear became the water you were formed in.

One flows on the right. Your father, and his father, and every paternal ancestor before him whose drive, whose armor, whose silence shaped the banks you learned to move within.

Within Biofield Tuning, these are the Ancestral Rivers. Maternal on the left. Paternal on the right. Both rippling beneath everything you call self.

This is the sacred work of Autumn. Not to erase our lineage, nor to be defined by it, but to receive it with discernment, acknowledgment, and conscious release. Like the forest floor that transforms fallen leaves into fertile ground, we, too, can become stewards of what we have inherited, allowing what is life-giving to take root while consciously transforming what no longer serves future generations.

This is the sacred descent. Not into despair, but into remembrance. Not into judgment, but into wisdom. Not into the trauma or pain, but gently through it. Not into the past, but into a deeper relationship with what came before us.

This ceremony is an invitation to reach beyond the wound. To witness what has been inherited with honesty and compassion. And to begin the work of recovering what may have become hidden beneath accumulated layers of incoherent energy.

What we'll do together.

We will move through qigong, a physical ancestral ceremony, and sound healing. Within the ceremony space each participant will work with photographs representing their maternal and paternal lineages — held within a ceremonial vessel that becomes part of the ongoing work of transformation.

The ancestral door opens October 25th. You will take a memento home with you to support the deeper unfolding of the work we do together. More details will be shared when in ceremony.

What to bring:

Two photocopies of family photos. One representing your maternal lineage, one your paternal. Small enough to fit into a 5-6 inch space. Originals stay home, copies only.

*If you are adopted or do not have access to photographs. Drawings, printed images, or even blank pieces of paper to represent your biological ancestors. The lineage knows itself even when we don't.

Comfortable clothing. A yoga mat, blanket, and eye cover.

Cost: $60 | Space is intentionally limited

If you've walked the Ancestral Arc this Autumn, Mother Zone then Father Zone, this is where we step from the outer bank, into the river.

If this is your first time here, these waters have always been running within you. The arc deepens the work. It is not a requirement for it.

In-Person | Autumn Qigong + Sound Healing

Autumn. The natural next step after Summer's revealing and Late Summer's integrating. Fire illuminated. Earth nourished. Now Metal refines.

In Chinese Medicine, Autumn belongs to the Metal element. To the Lungs and Large Intestine, the Officials responsible for taking in what nourishes and releasing what no longer serves.

Not just physically. Everything. Every experience, every emotion, every pattern that has accumulated through the year.

The Metal element gives us a tool for this. The capacity to cut through what the Small Intestine has already sorted. To refine the essential from the nonessential, the precious from what has simply been taking up space.

What remains, is not emptiness.

It's clarity. The golden nugget hidden within.

Jin 金. The Chinese symbol for Metal. Waiting beneath what accumulated around it.

What We'll Do

Qigong. Ancient movement that works directly with the body's energy channels, releasing what has been held and restoring what has been depleted. Specifically sequenced for Autumn.

Sound Healing. Frequencies that meet the nervous system where it is and return it, without force, to its own natural rhythm.

We leave lighter. And brighter. Shiny, as if gently honed.

This gathering is an invitation to exhale. Fully. And to let what no longer belongs move through rather than stay.

What to bring:

Comfortable clothing. A yoga mat, blanket and eye cover. Water to drink.

In-Person | Solstice Qigong + Sound Healing

Winter Solstice is the longest night of the year. And for thousands of years our ancestors didn't fear it. They honored it.

Because they understood something we are still learning to trust. That the darkness is not the absence of light. It is the ground. From which light returns.

In Chinese Medicine, Winter belongs to the Water element. To stillness. To essence. To the deep reservoir of potential that has been quietly gathering through the long descent of Autumn. Winter doesn't ask us to produce or perform. It asks us to rest in the knowing that the light will return.

This gathering, within the Solstice Threshold, is an invitation to settle into that knowing.

We will move through qigong specifically sequenced for the Solstice Threshold. Slow, intentional, grounded. Then we will settle onto our mats. The room goes dark. Sound moves through the stillness.

Whatever this season means to you. However you choose to mark it or not mark it. The light is yours.

What We'll Do

Qigong. Ancient movement that works directly with the body's energy channels, releasing what has been held and restoring what has been depleted.

Sound Healing. Frequencies that meet the nervous system where it is and return it, without force, to its own natural rhythm.

We leave steady.

You will leave trusting that your inner light, your unique spark, is alive. Not because the season told you. Because you sensed it yourself.

What to bring:

Comfortable clothing. A yoga mat, blanket and eye cover. Water to drink.

Live Virtual | Return to Center

Something is shifting. The quality of the light has changed. The air has a different weight to it. Something that has been burning bright all summer is beginning, almost imperceptibly, to turn inward.

This is not imaginary. It is the seasonal threshold.

In Chinese cosmology, the year does not move through four seasons. It moves through five. And the one most people have never heard of arrives in the first weeks of August, in the exhale between Summer's illumination and Autumn's release.

Late Summer. The fifth season. The season of Earth. Of center. Of the harvest that becomes nourishment. Of the ground finally receiving what Fire has been preparing.

Many of us blow right through these weeks. From the intensity of Summer directly into the busyness of Autumn. From one doing to the next. Without ever stopping to integrate the seasonal wisdom.

This tuning is the stop.

An opportunity to mark the threshold together, to honor what Summer has revealed, and to support the body, mind, and energy in making this seasonal crossing with intention, rather than momentum.

We will work with the Sundial, a Biofield Tuning protocol in which all 12 segments of the field are combed, front and back, unlocking held energy and returning it to midline. To the lower dantian in the front. To the mingmen in the back.

Full. Grounded. Integrated.

Earth energy is neutral. Earth energy is center. There is no more cosmologically precise moment to do this work than on the threshold between Summer and Late Summer, as the year prepares to turn.

Come as you are. Bring whatever Summer handed you. Together we will return it, and you, to center.

What you need:

A quiet space. Headphones. Water nearby. An open mind.

In-Person Workshop | Sacred Solstice

You recall what it feels like to be truly alive. Not performing. Not pushing through on caffeine and obligation.

Actually alive. Heart open, present in your body, laughter from within. Maybe it's been a while. And maybe you've given so much — to work, to family, to everyone who needed something from you — that the feeling exists only in memory.

This Summer Solstice, we create the conditions to remember.

This June is rare. In Chinese cosmology, we have entered a year of double fire: elemental Fire and Horse Fire. With the arrival of Summer Solstice, seasonal Fire is added, raising the temperature even higher. This creates something that hasn't happened in decades: a level of heat and intensity many people will feel in their bodies, emotions and lives, even if they do not understand its source.

Fire this potent can burn you. Or it can transform you.
The difference, knowing how to anchor it, contain it, refine it.

This is not a workshop that sends you home buzzing. Fire without grounding burns everything, including you. Every element of this experience is designed to anchor Fire within. You will leave embodied. Alive. Heart open. Blooming from the inside. Warm and laughing in a way that surprises you. That's what double Fire, handled with intention, actually feels like.

What we'll do together.

In our time together, we'll move through qigong, sound and sacred flower ceremony, with each participant bringing flower blooms to anchor intentions into something beautiful and tangible.

This workshop is for you if:

You've been feeling the intensity of the year in your body

You're ready to release something that has been weighing on your heart

You want to mark Solstice with intention rather than let it pass unnoticed

You're curious about sound healing and Qigong but want clinical grounding behind the experience

What to bring:

One or two fresh flowers from your garden or a local market. Comfortable clothing. A yoga mat, blanket and eye cover. An open heart.

Live Virtual Event | Panning for Gold

The Large Intestine cannot let go of what the Small Intestine has not yet sorted.

You've done the work. You've breathed through it, journaled it, released it, and somatic-ed it. And still, the decision fatigue lingers. The inability to trust your own yes. The exhaustion of absorbing everything and everyone around you and not knowing what's actually yours.

What if the problem was never that you couldn't let go?

What if the problem is that you were never taught to sort?

In Five Elements Theory, the Small Intestine is the Heart's most trusted counterpart. Known as the Alchemist, the Sorter, the one who separates the pure from the impure before anything moves forward. Physically, it extracts nourishment from everything you consume and sends the rest for elimination. But its medicine doesn't stop at the gut.

At the mental and energetic level, a compromised Small Intestine leaves you absorbing indiscriminately. Taking in what's not yours, mistaking noise for signal, holding onto what was never meant to stay. It can feel like being an empath. It can look like anxiety. It can manifest as chronic confusion, difficulty with decisions, or the particular exhaustion of someone who feels everything and can sort none of it.

A healthy Small Intestine doesn't just release. It refines. It finds the gold, even within murky waters, and knows exactly what to keep.

In this live virtual session:

We'll use Biofield Tuning, a sound-based modality that works directly with the body's energetic field to locate and release stored tension, emotional residue, and energetic distortion. We will work specifically with the Small Intestine, inviting greater coherence, clarity, and the return of your own discernment.

We are moving deeper into Summer, the season of the Fire Element, the most expansive and complex in the entire Five Elements system. This is the moment to sort what you're carrying into this next season, and into the next year. To pan the river. To find what's actually gold. And to be prime all of your being, for Autumn release.

This session is for you if:

You've done the letting go work and something still won't move

You struggle to trust your own decisions or know your real yes from your no

You absorb other people's energy and can't figure out where they end and you begin

You're ready to stop releasing blindly and start sorting with precision

What you need:

A quiet space. Headphones. Water nearby. An open mind.

This is a live only event.

No recording. When it's done, it's done. Show up for yourself.

In-Person Yoga Sanctuary | Sound Healing

“If we accept that sound is vibration and that vibration touches every part of our physical being, then we understand that sound is heard not only through our ears but through every cell in our bodies. One reason sound heals on a physical level is because it so deeply touches and transforms us on the emotional and spiritual planes. Sound can redress imbalances on every level of physiologic functioning and can play a positive role in the treatment of virtually any medical disorder.”
— Dr. Mitchell Gaynor, director of Medical Oncology and Integrative Medicine, the Cornell Cancer Prevention Center in New York.

Qi Gong is the practice of moving life force energy (qi) via cultivated physical movement (gong). it is considered the ancient root (before recorded history) of all TCM practices and many branches of Qi Gong have developed over 5000 years.

Sound healing is an immersive listening experience using intention and sound to clear dissonance and invite in a more peaceful, resonant state of being. For centuries, sound has been utilized by cultures around the world to bring balance and healing to the body, mind and spirit. Sound meditation utilizes specific instruments, music, tones, and other sonic vibrations. Although there is limited clinical research, recent studies have demonstrated statistically significant outcomes of stress reduction, elevated mood, decreased tension and improved spiritual wellbeing.

The class begins with a 20-minute Qi practice. Participants then settle into a lying position for a brief guided visualization. The remainder of class is filled with meditative sound from crystal singing bowls, gong, drums, chimes and/or voice.

Live Virtual Event | Free Your Knees

Your knees know things your mind hasn’t caught up with yet. In Biofield Tuning, the knees are one of the most revealing areas of the biofield.

The left knee speaks to what you've been holding onto, past its time. Old relationships, old stories, old versions of you that no longer fit. If you've ever caught yourself asking should I stay or should I go — about a job, a relationship, a living situation, a belief about yourself — this tension is stored here.

The right knee speaks to what's in the way of moving forward. Other people. Self-doubt. Habits that have gotten cemented. Sometimes even stories formed at birth about whether forward movement is safe or possible at all.

Together, the knees reflect the degree of inner and outer freedom you're truly experiencing. When this energy is clear, something remarkable becomes available: spontaneous appropriate action.

In this live virtual session:

We'll use Biofield Tuning, a sound-based practice using tuning forks, to work directly with your body's electromagnetic field, specifically the areas around the knees that hold stories about the past and obstacles to moving forward.

Because the knees influence every major energy center in the body, what releases here often ripples through the entire system in ways that surprise people.

You'll leave feeling grounded, present, with a greater sense of inner and outer freedom.

Not held back by old stories. Free to move forward.

This session is for you if:

You've been feeling stuck despite genuinely wanting to move forward

You're holding onto something you know it's time to release

You keep asking yourself the same question without being able to answer it

You want precision work that reaches more deeply.

What you need:

Live Virtual Event | Compass Reset

Spring is here. And you feel it. Light expanding. Energy rising. A subtle push from behind. Or…perhaps not so subtle. More like a hand on your back. That you didn't ask for.

You're moving. You’re doing. The laundry is washed. The project is started. The garden? Half-weeded. And somewhere between this thing and that, you haven't actually finished anything. And the low hum of incompletion…it follows you like a shadow, tugging at the back of your mind.

This isn't a productivity problem. In traditional Chinese medicine, it’s a compass problem.

Spring belongs to the Wood Element. The energy of direction, vision, and purposeful movement. When that energy is clear, you move forward with focus and ease. When it's scattered or blocked, you feel the push of Spring without the clarity of what, when, and how. Everything feels urgent, and yet nothing gets fully completed.

Just like the compass on your phone occasionally needs recalibration. So does yours. And Spring is the optimal time for a reset.

In this live virtual session:

We'll use Biofield Tuning, a sound-based practice using tuning forks, to work directly with your body's electromagnetic field. Clearing the static and restoring your internal [energetic] sense of direction.

You'll leave feeling lighter, clearer and with a felt sense of focus.

Not pushed from the outside.

Drawn forward from within.

This session is for you if:

Spring feels more activating than energizing

You're busy but not moving toward what actually matters

You've tried many things – supplements, exercise, meditation – and something still feels off

You want clinical grounding behind your wellness choices

What you need:

A quiet space. Headphones if possible. An open mind.

Biofield Tuning: Spring Attunement

Life is ruled by invisible forces. When the wind blows we cannot hold it in our hands — yet we feel it touch our skin, see it move the tree branches. Energy is the same. It is intangible — yet we experience it, as it animates every part of our being, from our movements to our heartbeat to our thoughts.

In ancient Chinese wisdom, each season is associated with specific physical, mental/emotional and spiritual energies. Like the ocean’s tide – where we can more easily catch a wave during high tide – the Five Elements philosophy is founded on the idea that each year, we are provided an opportunity to heal (the associated physical, mental/emotion and/or spiritual malady) when the seasonally-based energetic access point emerges and opens.

Spring is associated with the Wood Element and the Liver and Gallbladder meridians; and thus, affects our ability to digest, detoxify and eliminate. Mentally/emotionally, Spring provides the opportunity for birth, growth, regeneration and forward movement toward a future goal or aspiration.

Biofield Tuning is a sound-based therapy that uses tuning forks to interact with the body’s biofield, the electromagnetic field that surrounds and permeates the human body. Developed by Eileen McKusick, this technique is based on the idea that physical tension, emotional stress and unprocessed experiences can create areas of dissonance or “noise” in the biofield. By introducing coherent frequencies, practitioners aim to support reorganization of outdated patterns, allowing the body to release stress and move toward a state of greater balance, coherence and regulation. Although there is limited clinical research within sound therapy and Biofield Tuning, recent studies have demonstrated statistically significant outcomes of stress reduction, elevated mood, decreased tension and improved spiritual wellbeing.

This is a live, virtual event that begins with a 15-minute topic review, followed by a 60-minute live audio Biofield Tuning focused on clearing stagnation out of the Wood Element, restoring flow and helping the body move from Winter to Spring with clarity and appropriate action.

Summer Attunement: Qigong + Sound Meditation

Within the Five Elements theory of Chinese Medicine and Qigong, Summer is the time of year in which the Fire element is most available — and with it, access to the blossoming, flowering and maturing — of the many seeds sown in Spring.

In June, we move into the first whispers of Summer, which holds the power of blossoming, maturation and the full expression of warmth, laughter and love. We often refer to and sense feelings as being "heartfelt," or participate in a "heart-to-heart" talk, or display a "heart of gold." Many have also known "heart brake", feeling "heartless," or the act of "wearing our heart on our sleeve." Each of these colloquialisms refer to the spiritual aspect of the Fire Element — specifically, the Heart Official. And while working with the Heart Official is a powerful practice on its own, on Friday, we will be activating and elevating heart energy in an even more powerful way by working with the:

  • Small Intestine (discernment),

  • High Heart (Chakra 4.5 — merged heart + throat chakra energies),

  • Back of the Heart (receiving love and loving support)

  • Assemblage Point (embodied inspiration, allowing dreams to become reality).

Spring Eclipse Qigong + Sound Meditation (Double Gong)

  • Meraki Bldg (formerly Solomon's Porch) (map)

Life is ruled by invisible forces. When the wind blows we cannot hold it in our hands — yet we feel it touch our skin. As distant as the Moon seems, its gravitational pull on Earth plays an incredible role in tide formation and movement. As the Moon pushes Earth’s shape from round to oval, we witness the the tides rise (when passing through the bulges), and fall (when passing through the low points). Energy is the same. It is intangible — yet we experience it — as it animates all parts of our being, from each movement and heartbeat to every thought and dream.

As we move more deeply into Spring, we are encompassed in a surge of naturally occurring Wood Element energy (Five Elements Theory of Chinese Medicine). Atop of the Spring transition, there is an infusion of solar eclipse energy.

The influx of eclipse frequencies (between March 25th and April 8th), are considered the most powerful of 2024 and will be felt for the next 6 months. To take full advantage of this opportunity for karmic clearing + solar reboot, we will leverage Qigong and sound meditation practices to build greater coherence in our physical, emotional and energetic bodies.

Spring Attunement: Qigong + Sound Meditation

Spring is associated with the Wood element and the liver and gallbladder organs; and thus, affects our ability to digest, detoxify and eliminate. Mentally/emotionally, Spring provides the opportunity for birth, growth, regeneration and forward movement toward a future goal or aspiration. Spiritually, Spring allows up to act in a manner that is deeply aligned with purpose and direction. Without a strong connection to purpose, we may begin to feel hopeless or desperate, with no perceived direction.

Essential Self: Qigong + Sound Meditation

Within the Five Elements theory of Chinese Medicine and Qigong, Winter is the time of year in which the Water element is most available — and with it, access to our essential vitality, essence and self-identity.

In February, we move into the depths of Winter, which holds the power of emphasis — emphasis of the essence of life. Without the external ornamentation of leaves, flowers and fruits, trees and plants are bare essence. Trees unadorned and stripped to their core, seeds lying dormant with all potential hidden from view. By removing the external distractions, it is as if nature is guiding us inward, toward our unique essence — where we can reconnect with and rediscover our essential self.

Qi Gong is the practice of moving life force energy (qi) via cultivated physical movement (gong). it is considered the ancient root (before recorded history) of all TCM practices and many branches of Qi Gong have developed over 5000 years.

Deep Stillness: Qi Gong + Sound Meditation

Metaphorical richness pervades the yin months of Autumn and Winter: death before birth, stillness before movement, darkness before light, silence before sound. There is incredible potential lying dormant within death, stillness, darkness and silence — which is why it is said the deepest darkness gives birth to the brightest light.

In January, we move move more deeply toward the depths of Winter. Within nature, Winter is represented by the water element and physically coincides with the kidneys, adrenal glands and bladder. Winter influences emotions related to fear and deep knowing; and guides our ability to hear beyond the chatter to more clearly perceive our unique and powerful inner voice.

The Divine Within: Qi Gong + Sound Meditation

I am not looking to escape my darkness; I am learning how to love myself there.

As Winter Solstice draws near, Autumn continues to take us more deeply into darkness. In December, we will bid farewell to Autumn by attending to our inner Spirit – to the deepest part of our self, where our core beliefs reside.

Autumn is associated with the Metal element and the lung and large intestine organs; and thus, affects our ability to inhale, exhale and eliminate. Mentally/emotionally, Autumn provides the opportunity for deep attunement to self with an invitation to “cut through,” release and expel non-essential thoughts, patterns and emotions. Spiritually, Autumn is filled with divine/heavenly guidance and wisdom. Without a divine/heavenly connection (Nature, Goddess, Buddha, Tao, Higher Power, God, Inner Self, etc.), we begin to feel spiritually lost, cut off, purposeless and uninspired.

Qi Gong is the practice of moving life force energy (qi) via cultivated physical movement (gong). it is considered the ancient root (before recorded history) of all TCM practices and many branches of Qi Gong have developed over 5000 years.

The Hollow Bone: Qi gong + Sound Meditation

Every individual is a collection of stories.

Much of who we think we are, how we define ourselves, the way we show up in our homes, communities and lives — is based upon stories. Personal stories, family stories, ancestral stories, societal stories – all stories. As we move through life, we often gather more and more stories and ultimately, we build our identify around them. They become our default identity — our ‘this is who I am’ — even when they are not serving us.

What if we could hollow out these stories? And instead of ‘identifying’ with them, we consciously move into ‘witness’ mode (from an energetic perspective)?

This is where the process of Hollowing Out is such a powerful practice! With the aim of disentangling from the continuous flow of thoughts, judgements and opinions — we become our own witness, our ‘Aware-Self’; who can experience the story while remaining free from entanglements and attachments.

Qi Gong is the practice of moving life force energy (qi) via cultivated physical movement (gong). it is considered the ancient root (before recorded history) of all TCM practices and many branches of Qi Gong have developed over 5000 years.

Experiencing Liminal Space: Qi gong + Sound Meditation

In the universe, there are things that are known, and things that are unknown, and in between them, there are doorways.

Within our world, and in particular – nature, there are times and spaces that are understood to be ‘liminal’. In between places, thresholds and vortices that have a unique and specific quality of energy. Many liminal places are known – Stonehenge and the Black Forest – and many holy places have been built upon liminal spaces – Machu Picchu and Vatican City. Alongside the ‘well-known’ locations, there are lesser known and/or dramatic times and spaces that have a liminal quality – the full moon, the edge of the seashore, midnight, the top of a mountain, the equinoxes and solstices. From an energy perspective, these liminal times and spaces are thresholds – that when crossed, allow us direct access to energies that support clarity, wisdom and even healing.

Qi Gong is the practice of moving life force energy (qi) via cultivated physical movement (gong). it is considered the ancient root (before recorded history) of all TCM practices and many branches of Qi Gong have developed over 5000 years.

Qi Gong + Sound Meditation

“If we accept that sound is vibration and that vibration touches every part of our physical being, then we understand that sound is heard not only through our ears but through every cell in our bodies. One reason sound heals on a physical level is because it so deeply touches and transforms us on the emotional and spiritual planes. Sound can redress imbalances on every level of physiologic functioning and can play a positive role in the treatment of virtually any medical disorder.”
— Dr. Mitchell Gaynor, director of Medical Oncology and Integrative Medicine, the Cornell Cancer Prevention Center in New York.

Lunar Eclipse Qi Gong + Sound Meditation

Life is ruled by invisible forces. When the wind blows we cannot hold it in our hands — yet we feel it touch our skin. As distant as the Moon seems, its gravitational pull on Earth plays an incredible role in tide formation and movement. As the Moon pushes Earth’s shape from round to oval, we witness the tides rise (when passing through the bulges), and fall (when passing through the low points). Energy is the same. It is intangible — yet we experience it — as it animates all parts of our being, from each movement and heartbeat to every thought and dream.

The cosmic frequencies of May 1 through May 9 will be a slightly different flavor than April’s intense energetic ‘sandwich’ (that was filled with Yang energy). Whereas a Solar Eclipse presents new possibilities — with the intent of shaking life up to move us forward — a Lunar Eclipse creates final endings. Energetically, a Lunar Eclipse will impact us emotionally — as we become intently aware of the passage of time and perhaps experience sentiment or regret..

Again, we can more easily align and integrate the incoming energetic frequencies, when we leverage Qi Gong, acupressure and sound meditation practices.

Qi Gong is the practice of moving life force energy (qi) via cultivated physical movement (gong). it is considered the ancient root of all Chinese Medicine practices and many branches of Qi Gong have developed over 5000 years.

Claiming Energetic Sovereignty: Qi gong + Sound Meditation {CLASS RESCHEDULED]

Claiming energetic sovereignty is the divine act of remembering and fully embodying your True Self.

Energetic sovereignty: Self-ownership of the energy in one's body and person. Expressed as the natural right of a person to have energetic integrity and be the exclusive controller of one's own free will and sacred choice, in alignment with the True Self.

Qi Gong is the practice of moving life force energy (qi) via cultivated physical movement (gong). it is considered the ancient root (before recorded history) of all TCM practices and many branches of Qi Gong have developed over 5000 years.

Sound meditation is an immersive listening experience using intention and sound to clear dissonance and invite in a more peaceful, resonant state of being.

The class begins with a 15-minute discussion about energetic sovereignty and the True Self. Next, we will engage in a 15-minute Qi practice. Participants then settle into a lying position for a guided visualization. The remainder of class is filled with meditative sound from crystal singing bowls, gong, drums, chimes and/or voice.

Cost: $35 per class.

Fire Elemental Qi Gong + Sound Meditation

Within ancient Chinese wisdom, life contains a rhythmic pulse that subtly influences and organizes the energy of all cycles and events - both within natural and our bodies. This rhythm is felt via expansion and contraction, flow and control, light and dark, safety and danger. These rhythms are found within the day [circadian or 24-hour clock], month [lunar cycle], season [five seasons] and life [five rhythms].

In June, we are on the fringe of Summer. Represented by the Fire Element, Summer is the most intricate rhythm and encompasses the heart, small intestine, pericardium and triple burner meridians. The heart and pericardium (Yin) hold our ability to feel a sense of joy in our bodies and life, while the small intestine and triple burner (Yang) are associated with sorting the pure from the impure and seperating danger from safety. From an emotional perspective, the Fire Element influences feelings of joy and panic. It also guides our ability to TASTE the sweet nectar of life and to quickly adapt to and transform life’s challenges.
