Yin is quiet.
It doesn’t arrive the way Summer Solstice does, all long golden evenings and open doors.
It comes slowly. And it doesn’t seek attention; making it easy to miss. Yet (for those in the know), it’s one of the most potent times of the year.
For centuries, our ancestors met this threshold with candles, hearth fires, and song. They slowed their pace to match the season.
Today. It’s all bright lights, cocktail parties, and rushing from one thing to the next.
Yet the old way of moving into Winter hasn’t disappeared entirely. It’s only been… covered over. And so, three nights before the Solstice, we’re returning to the old. We’re dimming the lights. We’re honoring what has been.
We’ve been letting go since the first leaf of Autumn fell, whether we noticed or not. What’s left is a tiny window of opportunity, full of Yin receptivity. It comes only once a year, when our modern world is at its busiest. Yet the entry point, the room, requires the exact opposite: quiet.
Bring whatever is still with you. You don’t have to name it, explain it, or share it. You don’t even have to know what “it” is. That thing you can’t quite put your finger on, but you know needs to go? This is the exact “it” the deep Yin is ready to receive.
What We'll Do
Qigong. Twenty minutes of slow, intentional movement and breath, to bring us down out of our heads and into the body.
Guided imagery and biofield tuning. A gentle walk into the dark, where what you set down is received. Tuning forks help release tension and restore energy flow in and around the body.
Sound healing. Singing bowls, chimes, and other instruments moving through the stillness, while you do nothing at all.
The crystal. A Loft crystal, intentionally chosen for its energetic properties and attuned during the evening. It goes home with you.
We leave lighter. Brighter.
Maybe you’ll know exactly what you set down. Maybe you’ll only notice that something has gone quiet. In my experience, both are enough.
What to bring:
Comfortable clothing. A yoga mat, blanket and eye cover. Water to drink.
Cost: $60 | Advanced registration is required. Space is limited.

THE ANTI-RESOLUTION
Right intention. Wrong season.
Nothing in nature “starts over” in the dead of winter. Neither should we.
Introducing The Anti-Resolution. Where we do the new year, in seasonal order.
Release first. Dream second. Receive last, after the year actually turns (Lunar New Year).
Release · Friday, December 18, 6pm
Three nights before Solstice, the longest night of the year. No decisions, just one last release. For the dark to receive.
Dream · Friday, January 8, 6pm No planning. No calculating. Just dreaming. Formless and flowing, like water.
Receive · Friday, February 12, 6pm
The Lunar New Year has begun. What you set down in December opened space for something that has been waiting to show up. Maybe you dreamt of it in January, or maybe it needed more time.
Each event stands on its own, and together they build.
The right intention, in the right season.
